Children's Clinical University Hospital (CCUH) organises international conference "Caring for People in Healthcare". During the event, local and international experts will discuss and share their perspectives on positive patient and family experiences in healthcare settings.
"A positive experience for patients and their families has been one of Children's Hospital's strategic priorities for several years and is as important as clinical outcomes, quality of care and patient safety. We want to share this carefully collected experience in order to continue to work together to implement improvements in healthcare institutions in Latvia", says Valts Ābols, Chairman of the Board of the Children's Hospital.
The conference will cover topics such as: the patient experience in Latvian healthcare facilities; what matters to patients around the world; how to care for healthcare workers to engage and help promote a positive patient experience; what person-centred healthcare is and how it has been successfully implemented by one of Spain's largest health networks, which includes more than 50 hospitals.
Experts from Latvia, the United States, the Netherlands and Spain will share their experience on how to promote patient awareness and willingness to engage with healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
The conference is open to medical, healthcare, customer service, health administration and patient organisations.
Participants of the conference, caregivers and clinicians, will receive 4 continuing education points.
